Welcome to ASDS official website. We have created this website primarily as a source of useful information for current and future scholars. Find out about the club, check out the events, as well as explore useful resources as you navigate around the site.

4 January 2008 - Welcome to the new year! This is me back to update after a 6 months hiatus. The new committee is in, and we've got the paintball and Claudia's visit write ups in the events section. A new FAQ section is now available under Resources for graduating scholars following the discussion with Claudia. Look out for exciting new activities in 2008 soon!

12 July 2007 - How are you fellow ASDS-ers going? Exams are over, results are out, and its time to look forward to the new semester (hopefully all have advanced). ASDS has got another scholars gathering in the plans as well as a paintball trip to Oakleigh. Check out our events page for more updates. Reports and photos from past events in semester 1 including Night Market and BBQ Gathering is also up on the events page. Have a great second half of the year!

7 March 2007 - We have managed to secure 3 new sponsors for our club namely Thai Culinary, Swanston Walk Cafe, and Golden Diner Tower. Click here to check them out and what they have to offer.

10 January 2007 - The website is almost complete, save for the Resources section. ASDS club members, please help to contribute to it and I will be eternally grateful! Sponsors page will also need some updating once the financial details are in.

ASDS President 2007/08

Welcome As the President of ASDS for 2007/2008, I would like to welcome everyone visiting this website; may it be helpful to you as we hope it to be.

We aspire to be a club built on the foundation of constant and holistic caring towards its members – in a foreign land, we are family to each other; “By scholars, for scholars”. That said, a quick look at our previous activities would clearly show our success in attaining the aim and objectives outlined when the club was first established. Gatherings and bonding activities were a continuous feature of ASDS, and will always be in the future!

Only after one year being founded, ASDS has made commendable achievements. It is now the central resource point for all Sime Darby scholars across Australia, besides being the channel of communication between Sime Darby Berhad and its scholars. The commitment shown by the outgoing committee is truly appreciated, and we hope to continue their great work this term.

Together with my dedicated committee, we will try to realise the visions set for ASDS the best we can. Buckle up for a great journey!
